Celebrating the Life of Patricia Gail Danser, Beloved Matriarch
Patricia Gail “Patty” Danser, aged 85, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, in her hometown of Morgantown, West Virginia. Surrounded by her family, she left behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by many.
Born on May 31, 1940, Patty was the daughter of the late Harold and Reva Forbes. Growing up on Elysian Avenue, she enjoyed a nurturing Christian upbringing and shared a close bond with her siblings. On June 27, 1957, she married her lifelong partner, Elmer Leroy Danser, and together they created a warm family home with stunning views of the Appalachian hills.
Patty was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, known for her nurturing spirit and hospitality. She spent over three decades working at Mylan Pharmaceuticals, where she served as a Quality Control Clerk until her retirement. Her love for family was evident in her cherished garden and the countless hours she spent on her porch, surrounded by loved ones.
She is survived by her children: Vera (Bob) Bryan, Sandy (Bob) Birurakis, Kande (Bill) Brandt, Leroy (Shari) Danser, and Tim (David Campana) Danser. Patty also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews who will remember her fondly.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy, as well as her parents, Harold and Reva Forbes. She also mourned the loss of her granddaughter, Holly Christina Danser, and her grandson, Seth Adam Rush.
A memorial service to honor her life will take place on March 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens Chapel. The service will be officiated by Pastor Kevin Cain. Family and friends are invited to join the Danser family in celebrating Patty’s life and the deep love she shared with everyone who knew her.
