Jimmy Kimmel Slams Trump’s ‘Madman’ Rants on Truth Social
BREAKING: Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel unleashed a scathing critique of Donald Trump during his first show of 2026, targeting the former president’s explosive activity on Truth Social. In a shocking monologue, Kimmel revealed that Trump made an astonishing 556 posts over the holiday period, including 89 posts in just one hour yesterday, January 5.
Kimmel highlighted the bizarre nature of Trump’s late-night rants, stating, “Over the last two weeks, since we left for break, Trump posted on Truth Social 556 times. Behold, the ramblings of a madman. That is real.” The late-night host displayed screenshots of Trump’s most controversial posts, including one made just after midnight on Christmas Eve, where Trump threatened to terminate Kimmel’s show.
In a post at 12:36 AM on Christmas Eve, Trump questioned whether late-night shows should have their broadcast licenses revoked for their negative coverage, declaring, “If Network NEWSCASTS, and their Late Night Shows, are almost 100% Negative to President Donald J. Trump… shouldn’t their very valuable Broadcast Licenses be terminated? I say, YES!”
Kimmel quipped, “This is the vision of sugar plums that are dancing in his head as he goes to sleep.” The host also pointed to Trump’s unsettling Christmas message, where he ominously stated, “Enjoy what may be your last Merry Christmas!” Kimmel expressed concern, asking, “What is he trying to tell us? He’s going down and he’s taking us with him?”
Yesterday’s posting spree by Trump also included comments on immigration and criticism of what he termed a “thieving government.” He asked, “Tell me again, why do we pay tax money to a broken, lying, thieving government?” This latest tirade underscores the ongoing volatility of Trump’s public statements as he navigates the political landscape.
As Kimmel continues to address Trump’s provocative behavior, audiences are left questioning the implications of such rhetoric on the political discourse in America. The intense scrutiny on Trump’s social media activity raises urgent conversations about freedom of speech, media accountability, and the role of late-night comedy in political commentary.
With Kimmel’s bold remarks and Trump’s relentless posting, viewers are reminded of the unpredictable nature of today’s political environment. The implications of these social media outbursts could reverberate through the upcoming political landscape as the nation gears up for future elections.
