Cake & Joe Expands with New Cafe in Logan Square, Philadelphia
A beloved café is set to broaden its reach in Philadelphia by opening a third location in Logan Square. Friends and co-founders Sarah Qi and Trista Tang have chosen 1735 Market Street for the new outlet of their popular establishment, Cake & Joe. This expansion adds to their existing locations in Pennsport and Fishtown, emphasizing their commitment to creating inviting spaces for the community.
According to their website, the founders aim to foster joy among patrons. “Putting smiles on people’s faces was what we wanted to strive for, so we thought what better way to do so than with a place where people can relax, eat delicious foods, and drink delicious drinks,” the statement reads.
Menu Highlights and Unique Offerings
Cake & Joe is known for its diverse beverage menu, featuring classic tea, coffee, and espresso options. Unique lattes, such as taro coconut matcha, cream caramel, and rose, are designed to entice adventurous palates. Refreshers are also available, including flavors like lemon-mint, lychee, peach, and mango. The café will offer Calpis, a popular Japanese noncarbonated drink, in various fruity flavors.
Food offerings at Cake & Joe are equally impressive. Patrons can indulge in mousse cakes with flavors ranging from peanut butter chocolate to raspberry and passion fruit, alongside a selection of pastries, including croissants and muffins. For those seeking heartier fare, the menu includes classic sandwiches such as breakfast and avocado toast, as well as unique options like the mushroom melt featuring marinated Kennett Square mushrooms paired with Cabot cheddar and Cooper Sharp cheese.
Entrees such as a sous vide beef kimchi rice bowl and a homemade braised pork belly rice bowl further diversify the menu, catering to various tastes and preferences.
Looking Ahead to the Grand Opening
While the café’s website indicates that the Logan Square location is “coming soon,” no official opening date has been announced. Interested customers can stay informed about developments by following Cake & Joe on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook.
As Cake & Joe prepares to welcome more customers, its commitment to providing a delightful atmosphere and delicious offerings remains steadfast. This expansion not only highlights the café’s growth but also underscores the vibrant food scene in Philadelphia. The local community eagerly anticipates the opening, hoping it will continue to spread joy through its culinary creations.
