CM Punk Joins Netflix’s Romantic Comedy Adaptation of ‘The Bodyguard’
WWE superstar and actor CM Punk has joined the cast of an upcoming Netflix romantic comedy based on Katherine Center‘s novel, The Bodyguard. The film, which features actors Leighton Meester and Jared Padalecki in leading roles, promises a mix of humor and romance as it unfolds over the holiday season.
In the original 2022 novel, a no-nonsense bodyguard is tasked with protecting a charming action star during Christmas, resulting in unexpected sparks and complex secrets. While specific details about the film’s plot and its fidelity to the novel remain undisclosed, sources close to the production confirmed Punk’s involvement. He will portray a character named Doghouse, described as a physically imposing member of the security team known for his loyalty and humor.
