BREAKING: A federal grand jury in Michigan has indicted Kathleen Klein, also known as “Prophetess,” for her alleged role in a shocking forced labor conspiracy spanning Michigan, Florida, Texas, and Missouri. The indictment, announced by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Thursday, reveals a disturbing network of call centers used to exploit vulnerable individuals in a scheme that raised approximately $50 million for the Kingdom of God Global Church.

According to the DOJ, victims were coerced into working grueling hours without pay, pressured to meet unachievable fundraising targets. If they failed to comply or resisted, they faced severe punishments, including public humiliation, sleep deprivation, physical violence, and threats of eternal damnation. Klein, 53, allegedly controlled nearly every aspect of her victims’ lives, subjecting them to extreme psychological abuse.

Assistant Attorney General A. Tysen Duva emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “This case reflects the brutal reality of forced labor schemes that strip victims of their basic human rights.” He added that combating human trafficking is a top priority for the DOJ, pledging to pursue those profiting from forced labor relentlessly.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Jennifer Runyan called the indictment a “direct assault on human freedom,” affirming that anyone involved in exploiting others will face accountability under the law. “We will not stop until these criminal networks are shut down and justice is delivered,” Runyan stated.

The indictment follows charges brought against two other individuals in August 2025, who are also implicated in the same conspiracy, facing accusations of conspiracy to commit money laundering and forced labor.
