Pertamina Increases Fuel Prices: Pertamax Surges to Rp12,300
URGENT UPDATE: PT Pertamina has just announced significant increases in fuel prices effective March 15, 2026. This adjustment affects various types of fuel, including the widely used Pertamax and Pertalite, prompting immediate concern among consumers across Indonesia.
According to the official announcement, the price for non-subsidized fuels has surged, with Pertamax now priced at Rp12,300 per liter, up from Rp11,800. Pertamax Turbo also sees a rise to Rp13,100 from Rp12,700. In contrast, the price of subsidized fuel remains stable, with Biosolar holding at Rp6,800 and Pertalite at Rp10,000.
This price adjustment was confirmed by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources under Decree No. 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022, modifying previous regulations to reflect current market conditions. The latest changes are particularly impactful for residents in key regions such as Jabodetabek, Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara Barat.
As fuel prices climb, motorists are bracing for increased transportation costs, which could ripple through various sectors, affecting everything from daily commutes to the prices of goods and services. The hike in Pertamax and Pertamax Turbo’s prices is likely to strain budgets for many families.
In addition to Pertamax, other fuels like Dexlite and Pertamina Dex have also seen price hikes, now set at Rp14,200 and Rp14,500 per liter, respectively. The adjustments reflect ongoing fluctuations in the global oil market, which continue to influence local pricing strategies.
Officials urge consumers to stay informed about further potential changes as global oil prices remain volatile. As this situation develops, it’s crucial for residents to monitor fuel prices closely.
This announcement from Pertamina marks a significant shift in fuel pricing that could lead to broader economic implications. Residents are encouraged to share this news and prepare for adjustments in their daily spending.
As the situation evolves, more updates will follow. Stay tuned for the latest developments on fuel prices and their impact on everyday life in Indonesia.
