Kardea Brown Slams Fans for ‘Nasty’ Comments Amid Judge Shakeup
UPDATE: Celebrity chef Kardea Brown has publicly addressed a wave of backlash from Food Network fans following her recent appointment as a judge on the upcoming show Baking Championship Next Gen. The Holiday Baking Championship star took to Facebook to voice her frustration with “nasty” and “mean” comments directed at her after she replaced Carla Hall and Valerie Bertinelli on various shows.
In her urgent post on December 5, Brown emphasized the alarming nature of the negativity, stating, “Cousins, I need to get something off my chest. The amount of adults leaving negative comments on my last post is alarming.” She acknowledged that many fans are unhappy with the changes but reiterated that such comments would not alter the show’s direction.
“Kids genuinely love these children-focused baking competitions, which is exactly why they’ve lasted for so many years,” Brown explained. She encouraged fans to remember the core principles of kindness, stating, “If it’s not for you, simply don’t watch.”
Brown’s remarks come as anticipation builds for the premiere of Baking Championship Next Gen, set to air on January 5, 2024, at 8 PM ET. This new series aims to showcase the incredible talents of young bakers, and Brown is excited about the upcoming season.
“Get ready for a spectacular season with lots of talented kid bakers and a theme I think the entire family will love!” she declared, urging viewers to embrace the spirit of the show.
The backlash has sparked a conversation among fans, with many expressing their support for Brown. Comments flooded in, including sentiments like “Keep up the great work!” and “You are a class act!” Others chimed in, urging people to move on if they dislike the changes.
This situation highlights the sometimes harsh realities of social media, where criticism can overshadow the positive impact of family-oriented programming. As the premiere date approaches, all eyes will be on Brown and the young bakers who will take center stage this season.
As the Food Network gears up for the launch, viewers are encouraged to tune in and experience the joy of baking through the eyes of the next generation.
