Glen Powell’s Wardrobe Malfunction Shocks on ‘The Running Man’ Set
UPDATE: Actor Glen Powell faced a shocking wardrobe malfunction while filming a stunt for his upcoming movie, The Running Man, which is set to hit theaters on November 7, 2023. During an interview on Entertainment Tonight, Powell candidly revealed how a daring stunt left him more exposed than he ever anticipated.
The incident occurred while Powell was rappelling down a building, dressed only in a towel and a makeshift pouch he humorously dubbed a “marble sack.” “I was wearing a towel around it,” he explained, adding, “But then you’re rappelling down a building, and you see a window—you don’t realize there’s people in there, like, lighting and doing electric.”
His co-star, Josh Brolin, couldn’t resist poking fun at the situation, mimicking Powell’s position and noting that crew members were watching him from inside the building. This unexpected exposure has turned into a viral moment, fueling discussions around the film’s unique stunts.
Powell’s portrayal in The Running Man sees him as a father desperate for quick cash to help his ailing daughter, participating in a deadly reality show where professional assassins hunt him down. Reflecting on the filming experience, Powell admitted that while he found the stunt hilarious in concept, the reality of performing it in the cold of February in Bulgaria was far from ideal. “I regretted agreeing to it,” he said, emphasizing the discomfort of being in a towel during winter.
The actor, who gained fame with Top Gun: Maverick, has recently been under the spotlight for rumored romantic connections with co-star Sydney Sweeney. Despite speculation fueled by their appearances together, Sweeney clarified that media narratives often exaggerate their interactions.
With The Running Man poised for release, fans eagerly await to see how this comedic yet cringe-worthy moment unfolds on screen. As the excitement builds, Powell’s wardrobe malfunction is set to be one of the most memorable highlights of the film’s promotion.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story, and don’t forget to catch The Running Man in theaters on November 7, 2023.
