Elon Musk Declares DOGE Efforts ‘Somewhat Successful’ but Unlikely to Repeat
BREAKING: Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk revealed that his leadership of the controversial Department of Government Efficiency was only “somewhat successful” and affirmed he would not repeat the experience. This statement came during a candid interview with conservative influencer Katie Miller on the “Katie Miller Podcast,” aired earlier today.
Musk’s remarks highlight the challenges he faced in trying to reform federal operations, acknowledging the significant impact on his businesses, including Tesla and SpaceX. He noted that the public’s lukewarm response to DOGE significantly hindered his companies, stating, “Instead of doing DOGE, I would have, basically, built … worked on my companies.”
During the discussion, Musk expressed a sense of regret, adding, “They wouldn’t have been burning the cars,” referring to consumer protests against Tesla. As he evaluates his time with the government, he appears to reflect on the toll it took on his enterprises.
Despite the challenges, Musk remains optimistic about his future. Tesla shareholders recently approved a lucrative pay package that positions Musk to potentially become the world’s first trillionaire. This comes as Musk continues to navigate multiple ventures while contributing to public discourse on technology and efficiency.
Musk credited the efficiency department with saving up to $200 billion annually through improved automated systems. However, this figure pales in comparison to his previous claims that the agency could realize savings in the trillions.
The conversation spanned more than 50 minutes, touching on various topics, including Musk’s views on artificial intelligence and social media. However, Miller did not delve into the controversial aspects of the DOGE initiative, which had been criticized for its rapid takeover of federal agencies.
As the discussion unfolds, Musk’s comments resonate with both supporters and critics, fueling ongoing conversations about government efficiency and corporate responsibility. As he looks to the future, many are left wondering what this means for his businesses and the broader implications for the tech industry.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as Musk continues to share insights into his ventures and the impact of his past decisions.
