Cooper Flagg Dazzles with Two Dunks in Mavericks’ Loss
Cooper Flagg started 2026 on an energetic note, showcasing his athleticism with two impressive dunks in a game against the Philadelphia 76ers on January 1, 2026. The rookie forward for the Dallas Mavericks recorded his 33rd and 34th dunks of the season during the first quarter, both occurring in transition.
In the first highlight, Flagg rebounded a challenging defensive effort, triggering a fast break. After receiving an outlet pass from teammate Naji Marshall, Flagg positioned himself in the lane and executed a powerful one-handed slam. The second dunk was a solo effort, as Flagg intercepted a pass from the 76ers, leading to an uncontested two-handed flush at the other end of the court.
Standing at 6 feet 9 inches, the forward from Newport, Maine, contributed more than just his dunks, finishing the game with 12 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. Despite Flagg’s strong performance, the Mavericks were unable to secure a victory, losing to the 76ers by a final score of 123-108.
Fans can view both of Flagg’s standout dunks, along with other scoring highlights from the game, on the Dallas Mavericks’ official YouTube channel.
As the Mavericks continue their season, Flagg’s abilities will be pivotal as he carves out his role in the team. His athletic performances are already drawing attention and setting the stage for a promising career in the NBA.
