CW Advisors Increases Stake in Avantis Emerging Markets ETF
Investment firm CW Advisors LLC has increased its holdings in the Avantis Emerging Markets Equity ETF (NYSEARCA: AVEM) by 1.2% during the second quarter of 2023. This adjustment, disclosed in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), involved the acquisition of an additional 15,667 shares, bringing the total to 1,319,578 shares owned by the firm. As a result, Avantis Emerging Markets Equity ETF now constitutes approximately 0.9% of CW Advisors’ overall portfolio, ranking as its 13th largest position.
The latest reporting period revealed that CW Advisors holds shares of Avantis worth about $90.4 million. This sizeable investment comes amid a trend where several other institutional investors have also adjusted their stakes in the ETF. For instance, Hantz Financial Services Inc. saw a dramatic increase of 2,366.7% in its position, now owning 370 shares valued at $25,000 after purchasing an additional 355 shares.
Additionally, AdvisorNet Financial Inc. raised its stake in Avantis by 213.4% in the same quarter, bringing its total to 492 shares valued at $34,000. Other notable movements include South Plains Financial Inc., which established a new position worth about $41,000, and Clarity Asset Management Inc., which increased its holdings by 31.5%, now owning 752 shares valued at $45,000. McElhenny Sheffield Capital Management LLC also acquired a new position during the second quarter, valued at approximately $69,000.
