Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos Recognized as Business of the Quarter
The Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce has named Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos as its Business of the Quarter, recognizing the establishment’s commitment to quality service and community engagement. This family-owned business, located at 945 South Main St. in Red Bluff, provides a range of dry cleaning and fabric care services, setting a high standard in the local industry.
Founded by owners Dan and Kim Berry, Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos boasts over three decades of experience in the field. The couple specializes in dry cleaning, full-service laundry, spot and stain removal, alterations, and cleaning of rugs and draperies. They also cater to comforter and bedding care needs. As an authorized retailer of Jim’s Formal Wear, the business expands its offerings to include formal wear.
Kim Berry, who holds multiple industry certifications including the Garment-Care Professional designation, emphasizes the importance of customer service. She ensures that each garment undergoes a rigorous seven-point inspection before it is returned to its owner. Production Manager Annette Bailey, with her 25 years of experience and certification as a dry cleaner, plays a vital role in maintaining these high standards.
Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos is also dedicated to environmentally friendly practices. The business utilizes an organic, 99-percent corn-based, biodegradable solvent that is safe for both fabrics and the environment. This commitment to sustainability is an integral part of their operational philosophy.
In a statement, Dave Gowan, CEO of the Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce, praised Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos, stating, “Customer service is truly at the heart of Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos. Their team prides itself on educating customers about their garments — from fabric types to garment construction — and the professional processes used to care for them.”
Community involvement is another cornerstone of Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos’ mission. Each year, the business collaborates with the Department of Education and local organizations for the Coats for Kids initiative, which provides hundreds of coats to children in need. Moreover, Kim Berry founded the Back-to-School Project, which has supplied local students with essential items such as clothing, shoes, and backpacks for two decades.
Crown Cleaners & Tuxedos stands out not only for its exceptional service but also for its deep-rooted commitment to the community. This recognition as Business of the Quarter underscores the importance of local businesses in fostering both economic growth and social responsibility.
