The Cook County Clerk’s Office is now accepting applications for a unique lottery that will grant the first marriage license of 2026. The lottery drawing is scheduled for December 22, 2025, with the winning couple set to tie the knot on January 2, 2026, marking the first official day of business in Cook County for the new year.
