The Bemidji Lions Club made a significant contribution to the local community by donating $700 to the Bemidji Area Boys & Girls Club during their meeting on March 6, 2024. This support aims to enhance programs and facilities that benefit the youth in the area.

Karl Mork, a representative from the Boys & Girls Club, served as the guest speaker at the Lions Club meeting. He provided an update on recent developments at the Club, highlighting a partial renovation of its original building. This renovation has created much-needed space for various activities and programs, which are essential for supporting the local youth.

After Mork’s presentation, which included a question-and-answer session, First Vice President David Bahr presented the donation to Mork. The funds raised will directly support ongoing initiatives at the Boys & Girls Club, which plays a crucial role in the community by providing a safe and nurturing environment for children and teens.

The partnership between the Bemidji Lions Club and the Boys & Girls Club exemplifies the commitment of local organizations to enhance the well-being of youth in the Bemidji area. With continued support from community members and organizations, the Boys & Girls Club aims to expand its services and reach even more young people in need.
