Apple Offers Free Fitness Trials and Monthly Workouts for New Year
Apple is launching a promotional campaign that gives users access to two fitness-related freebies this January, coinciding with many people’s New Year health resolutions. Normally, subscriptions to Apple Fitness+ can cost around £120 or $120 annually. This initiative allows both new and returning users to explore the platform’s offerings without an upfront cost.
The first part of this promotion is a two-week free trial of Apple Fitness+, which typically offers a seven-day trial. This extended offer is available through the Apple Fitness app and allows users to experience a diverse catalogue of over 4,000 workouts. The service includes various types of classes such as HIIT (high-intensity interval training), dance, and yoga, making it suitable for a range of fitness levels.
Interestingly, this free trial is accessible even to those who have previously subscribed to Fitness+. This is a significant advantage for anyone looking to re-engage with their fitness journey at the start of the year.
Monthly Workout Samples Enhance Fitness Experience
In addition to the free two-week trial, Apple has introduced a new feature that allows users to claim a monthly sample of workouts at no cost. This offer is available to individuals who do not currently hold an active subscription. Users can navigate to the Fitness+ tab in the Apple Fitness app and scroll to the Free Monthly Sampler section to access these workouts. According to Apple’s announcement, “Try these episodes one time – no trial or subscription needed.” Each month, users can expect to receive around five different workout sessions, providing a free exercise option for each week.
Apple Fitness+ is also expanding its content offerings in 2026. New workouts featuring music from artists like KAROL G and Bad Bunny will be added, with specific releases scheduled for February 2. The popular Time to Walk series will also see new episodes, featuring notable guests such as Penn Badgley, Mel B, and Michelle Monaghan. Furthermore, a new program titled Strength Basics in 3 Weeks is set to launch on January 12.
For those purchasing qualifying Apple devices, including the latest iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, or Apple TV, there’s an additional offer of three months of Apple Fitness+ at no charge. This promotion can save users approximately £29.97 or $29.97. It is essential to note that to access this offer, users need to claim it within the first three months of setting up their devices, after which the subscription will automatically renew at the standard price.
As many individuals aim to improve their fitness levels this January, Apple’s comprehensive offerings provide a valuable opportunity to explore new workout routines without immediate financial commitments.
