Allen N. Levesque, Beloved Community Member, Passes Away at 77

Allen N. Levesque, a cherished resident of Lowell, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 77 after a lengthy period of declining health. His death marks the loss of a dedicated family man and a well-respected member of the local community.

Born on October 29, 1948, in Van Buren, Maine, Allen was the son of the late Claude and Cecile Gagnon Levesque. He spent much of his life in Lowell, with previous residences in Dracut and Rochester, New Hampshire. Allen had a diverse career as a drywall installer and maintenance worker, contributing his skills throughout the greater Lowell area for many years. He was also a proud member of the Carpenters Union, reflecting his dedication to his craft.

Throughout his life, Allen was actively involved in his community. He was a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Parish in Lowell and a member of the former CCA Club. His personal interests included bowling, playing cribbage, and horseshoes, along with a passion for gardening, dancing, and country music. He was also an avid supporter of the Boston Bruins, showcasing his enthusiasm for local sports.

Allen is survived by his two children, Sonia Abreu and her husband, Jim, and Andre Levesque and his wife, Tracy. He leaves behind five grandchildren: James and Brian Abreu, Drew Carbonneau, and Ava and Lily Levesque. Additionally, he is survived by his former wives, Marie-Beth Rodrigue Levesque and Claire Fournier Levesque, along with her children, Michelle Elie and John Elie.

Family ties were strong for Allen, who is also survived by his sisters, Maryline Gagnon and Thérèse Rodrigue, his brother-in-law, Yvon Rodrigue, and his longtime companion, Maryann Beaupre. He is remembered fondly by sister-in-law Jeanne M. Levesque and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, including Rolande Vaillancourt, Roger Levesque, Clarence Levesque, and Georgette Levesque, as well as his brothers-in-law, Percy Gagon, Delton Vaillancourt, and Vincent Goforth.

There will be no visitation, but family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on December 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Ste. Marguerite D’Youville Parish, located at 1340 Lakeview Avenue in Dracut. Interment will be private, allowing the family to honor Allen’s memory in a personal setting.

Arrangements are being managed by the Laurin Funeral Home in Lowell, which is handling the details of this significant farewell.
