Thousands gathered in Los Angeles on January 1, 2026, to celebrate the New Year with the Church of Scientology, marking a year filled with significant achievements and paving the way for future aspirations. The event, held at the iconic Shrine Auditorium, showcased the church’s expansion and community initiatives, with over 6,500 attendees dressed in formal attire to honor the accomplishments of 2025.

During his address, David Miscavige, the ecclesiastical leader of the Church of Scientology, reflected on the meaning of the New Year. He noted, “For most of the world, New Year’s is something they wait for… But we’ve never lived time that way. So while the rest of the planet may still be winding down its clocks—we’re here for something else entirely: to see what happens when a full year of Scientology accomplishments is unleashed all at once.”

This sentiment set the tone for a night dedicated to highlighting the church’s achievements. The Scientology Network has reportedly grown its viewership by 11 times since its launch and has received over 170 awards for creative and technical excellence. Additionally, more than a million students have enrolled in online courses, marking another record-breaking milestone for the organization.

The year was also marked by a series of Grand Openings around the world. Notable among these was the inauguration of a new Ideal Org in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, a ten-story structure that now enhances the Nelson Mandela Bay skyline. Further, three new L. Ron Hubbard (LRH) Landmark Sites were opened, including the site of the first Dianetics Foundation in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the location in Phoenix, Arizona where LRH unified Dianetics and Scientology, and the site in Harare, Zimbabwe where he filmed crucial lectures.

The evening also celebrated community empowerment initiatives driven by the Association for Better Living and Education (ABLE). In Sonora, Mexico, the Narconon program has provided over 100,000 rehabilitation hours, significantly impacting the local community by opening a dedicated wing for women. In Kenya, a former inmate utilized The Way to Happiness to reduce drug use in schools from 80 percent to just 5 percent, while also cutting recidivism rates by 51 percent through community engagement.

In Colombo, Sri Lanka, a teacher applied Applied Scholastics methods, allowing her students to advance three grade levels in a year. Her success led to a national initiative to implement Study Technology across all 10,000 schools in Sri Lanka.

The World Institute of Scientology Enterprises (WISE) has also made strides in various sectors. In the United Kingdom, a WISE member transformed a failing gutter cleaning business into the top service provider in the area, expanding operations to safeguard over 125,000 homes annually. In Colombia, a logistics expert streamlined trade processes to enhance efficiency, transporting over 70,000 tons of cargo each year.

In Japan, an educator founded a Dianetics Group in Ashiya, introducing thousands to the principles of Dianetics and receiving praise from local officials for her efforts. Meanwhile, in Valencia, Spain, the Ideal Scientology Mission has become a beacon of hope, providing vital services and humanitarian aid.

The evening culminated in the announcement of a new Ideal Org set to open in Puerto Rico, the first for the Caribbean, with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting anticipated in the coming weeks. More than 240 Scientologists were honored for their contributions in helping individuals progress on their spiritual journeys, with 12 members recognized as Elite Field Staff Members for assisting over 1,000 individuals within the past year.

As the celebration drew to a close, Mr. Miscavige revealed plans for a new broadcast message that will premiere during Super Bowl LX and the World Cup in 2026, aiming to reach a broader audience than ever before. He emphasized the importance of individual engagement in the church’s mission, stating, “Because if every Scientologist here tonight moves forward with the certainty of LRH, if every Scientologist here tonight takes the next step and helps another take theirs, then there is no distance we cannot close, no barrier we cannot break and no future beyond our reach.”

With a hopeful outlook for the coming year, the event encapsulated the Church of Scientology’s vision of growth and community impact, setting the stage for an ambitious 2026.
