Diving Santa Splashes into Holiday Cheer at Waikiki Aquarium
The holiday season began with festive flair on December 3, 2025, as the Waikiki Aquarium in Hawaii welcomed its annual tradition of Diving Santa and his Elf. Families gathered to witness this unique event, where Santa Claus and his helper donned scuba gear to interact with marine life and entertain young visitors.
Among the attendees were two-year-old Ezekiel Ishimine and his mother, Jessica Ishimine, who were among the first to greet Diving Santa as he made a splash in the aquarium’s main tank. The event captivated children and adults alike, with nine-year-old Kaela Chick also participating in the excitement.
Diving Santa and his Elf showcased a delightful performance, swimming past various sea creatures, including a whitetip reef shark and a zebra shark. The colorful underwater display added a magical touch to the holiday spirit, leaving the audience in awe.
The event is not just a one-time occurrence; guests will have another opportunity to see Diving Santa in action on December 5, 2025, at 11:30 AM. Regular admission to the aquarium allows visitors to join in the festive fun and experience the charm of this holiday tradition.
As families watched Diving Santa wave to the crowd, children like Ezekiel and Kaela were thrilled to interact with the jolly figure of the season. With smiles and shakas, they engaged with Santa and his Elf, capturing the essence of community celebration.
The Waikiki Aquarium’s annual tradition serves as a reminder of the joy and wonder of the holiday season, blending marine education with festive cheer. As the aquarium continues to attract visitors from all over, events like these play a crucial role in enriching the local culture and creating lasting memories for families.
With only a few days left until the next performance, excitement is building as more families prepare to visit and share in this extraordinary holiday experience.
