UPDATE: In a thrilling showdown, Phoebe Laferriere propelled No. 1 Oak Knoll to a decisive 2-0 victory over previously undefeated No. 5 Newton earlier today in Newton. This victory marks Oak Knoll’s 14th consecutive win and pushes their record to an impressive 17-1 for the season.

Laferriere, a standout junior, showcased her skills by scoring her 19th goal of the season in the third quarter, putting Oak Knoll ahead 1-0 with a precise shot assisted by Melina Voliotis. The team solidified their lead in the fourth quarter when Alexandra Sherman added an insurance goal, again set up by Laferriere.

The match, held at 4:00 PM today, saw Oak Knoll dominate offensively with a total of 18 shots on goal compared to Newton’s 7. The team also held an advantage in penalty corners, generating 8 to Newton’s 3.
