Suspects Arrested in Fatal Shooting of San Francisco Club Manager
BREAKING: Authorities have arrested a man and woman in connection with the shocking murder of Mark Calcagni, the 60-year-old general manager of the historic Condor Club in San Francisco. The arrests were made by detectives from the Santa Rosa Police Department after an intense investigation into the deadly shooting on October 3, 2025.
Calcagni was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound in the bike lane of Brookwood Avenue near Birdsfoot Way at approximately 6:25 a.m. on that fateful morning. Initially facing a challenging investigation with limited evidence, police have since pieced together information from witness interviews, surveillance footage, and digital leads, according to reports from local media.
On October 24, police apprehended Richard Lund, aged 43, at his apartment complex in Dublin, California. His accomplice, Asia Morton, 25, was arrested shortly after returning from a trip to San Francisco International Airport. Authorities believe that Lund waited for Calcagni to return home from work before fatally shooting him. Morton, who is reportedly in a romantic relationship with Lund, is thought to have assisted in planning the attack.
In a statement, the Santa Rosa PD said, “Detectives believe Lund fatally shot Calcagni after waiting for him to return home from work.” The investigation continues as police search for a clearer motive behind this tragic crime.
The Condor Club, which opened in 1964 and is famously regarded as the birthplace of topless entertainment in the U.S., has a history filled with both glamour and scandal. Past incidents have included a notorious death involving a piano and its operator in a shocking accident in 1983.
Both Lund and Morton have been charged with murder and are currently being held without bail. A search warrant was executed at their apartment on St. Patrick Way, but it remains unclear if any evidence linking them to Calcagni’s death was found.
As this case develops, investigators urge anyone with information to come forward. The community is left reeling from this violent act, highlighting the need for safety in even the most bustling entertainment districts.
