Urgent: Bookworms Found Inside Closed NoBo Library Amid Alarm

UPDATE: The NoBo branch of the Boulder Public Library is currently closed, but that didn’t stop several book enthusiasts from entering the premises while the alarm was actively sounding. As of 9:20 a.m. on November 1, 2023, multiple individuals were spotted inside the library located at 4500 13th St., despite the absence of staff and security personnel, according to Boulder Police Department Sgt. Steve Saber.

The library’s closure is part of a scheduled staff training session, affecting three branches of the Boulder Public Library, including NoBo, which will remain closed until noon today. Authorities are currently investigating how patrons gained access to the building.
