Fox News Host Critiques Democrats Ahead of Major Protests

UPDATE: As the nation braces for an estimated 2,500 anti-Trump No Kings rallies scheduled across the United States this Saturday, Fox News host Jesse Watters has publicly criticized the effectiveness of Democratic protests. Speaking on “The Five,” Watters expressed skepticism about the ability of Democrats to organize peaceful demonstrations, pointing to past events that resulted in violence and chaos.
Watters stated, “The Democrats, every time they do gather together, it’s not mostly peaceful,” referencing high-profile incidents such as the BLM riots and protests in Portland. He contrasted these with the 2007 Tea Party movement, which he described as a more authentic grassroots effort. “Ours was a little more organic. This seems a little more astroturfed,” he added, dismissing the upcoming protests as lacking genuine grassroots support.
The No Kings rallies represent a renewed wave of opposition against President Donald Trump and his administration’s policies, which organizers argue have become increasingly authoritarian. Since the first major protests in June, which attracted over 5 million participants in more than 2,000 cities, advocates claim Trump has intensified his controversial agenda, including heightened ICE raids and targeted actions against political adversaries.
Senator Roger Marshall has raised concerns about the nature of the upcoming protests, suggesting they may attract “paid actors, agitators, Pro-Hamas, and Antifa members.” He warned, “We’ll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it’ll be peaceful. I doubt it.”
Rally organizers maintain that the protests are a direct response to Trump’s policies, asserting that the administration has “doubled down” on its agenda since the inaugural events. These protests are expected to occur in 500 more cities than the previous rallies, amplifying the sense of urgency and tension surrounding the events.
As the clock ticks down to the rallies, Watters remains unconvinced about their potential impact, stating, “I don’t know if this has legs.” With the political landscape rapidly evolving and public sentiment in flux, all eyes are on the unfolding events this weekend.
Stay tuned for updates as the situation develops and the No Kings rallies commence.
