Lane Closures Begin Next Week on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove

URGENT UPDATE: Significant lane closures are set to impact traffic on U.S. 422 in Lower Pottsgrove starting next week. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has just announced that roadway reconstruction will take place, prompting motorists to prepare for travel delays.

From Monday, January 12, to Friday, January 16, lane closures will be enforced on westbound U.S. 422 between the Sanatoga (Evergreen Road) and Hanover Street interchanges from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. During the same period, eastbound U.S. 422 will experience lane closures between the Hanover Street and Sanatoga interchanges from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Motorists are strongly advised to allow extra time for their commutes, as significant backups and delays are expected in these work zones. These closures are part of an extensive $83.6 million project aimed at reconstructing and enhancing approximately 2.1 miles of the expressway, including bridge replacements between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
