Meet Mack: 16-Year-Old Boy in Need of a Caring Family
A 16-year-old boy named Mackensie, known as Mack, is seeking a loving family as part of the ongoing “Wednesday’s Child” initiative. This program, which has been in operation since 1981, aims to raise awareness about children in foster care who are waiting for permanent homes. Mack is described as an active and affectionate young man with a variety of interests that make him a unique candidate for adoption.
Mack enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring nature, and has recently joined his school’s swim team, which he is enthusiastic about. He also has a passion for reading and playing video games, showcasing his diverse interests. Friends and acquaintances describe him as kind, curious, and thoughtful, emphasizing his inquisitive nature.
Though Mack may initially come across as shy and serious, he quickly reveals a more social and engaging personality. He has a strong desire to learn and participate in various sports, reflecting his active lifestyle. His hobbies include riding his bike, hoverboarding, riding his scooter, and rollerblading, demonstrating his athletic abilities and excellent coordination.
Mack is recognized for his impressive gross motor skills and balance, making him a skilled athlete. His ability to connect with others and his eagerness to learn new activities make him a promising candidate for a supportive family environment.

Collaborating with the Department of Children & Families and WBZ-TV/CBS Boston, the initiative continues to shine a light on the children who wait the longest for families, fostering hope and awareness for those in need.
