Jill Marie Lockwood Passes Away After Courageous Cancer Battle

UPDATE: Jill Marie Lockwood, a beloved nurse and devoted family member, has passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones during her final moments, leaving behind a profound legacy of compassion and strength.

Born and raised in Duluth, MN, Jill dedicated her life to caring for others, particularly as a nurse at Liberalis, a women’s treatment facility. Her commitment to empathy and honesty touched countless lives, making a lasting impact on both her patients and colleagues.

Jill’s family was her greatest joy. She is survived by her children, Troy Lockwood (Leah), Brent Lockwood, and Amie Lockwood, as well as her four cherished grandchildren, Clyde, Nathan, Niko, and Noah, who were truly the light of her life. Her sister, Sue Raycraft (Tim), along with nieces Ambyr Johnson (Brent) and Stephanie Hagen (Severin), and nephew Jake Lockwood, also mourn her loss.

A celebration of life will be held at the Grand View Grill and Bar (Drydock), located at 2820 Midway Rd, Duluth, MN 55810, on November 16, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, coinciding with what would have been her birthday. Family and friends are invited to honor Jill’s memory and reflect on her extraordinary life.

Jill Marie Lockwood’s warmth and humor will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
