Knicks Confirm Hart, Robinson Out for Season Opener vs. Cavs

URGENT UPDATE: The New York Knicks have officially ruled out Josh Hart and Mitchell Robinson for their highly anticipated season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on October 25, 2023. This news comes just hours before tip-off, significantly impacting the Knicks’ game strategy.
Hart has been sidelined due to lumbar spasms, an issue that has kept him off the court since he played only seven minutes in the preseason opener against the Philadelphia 76ers nearly three weeks ago. Robinson, on the other hand, is listed out for left ankle injury management, having not played since the first half of a preseason match against the Minnesota Timberwolves on October 9.
Knicks head coach Mike Brown addressed the media on Tuesday, stating, “Neither one practiced today, but we’re going to keep monitoring them.” Brown emphasized the importance of managing Robinson’s condition, noting, “He missed a lot of games last year, so we want to be cautious going forward.”
In addition to the Knicks’ losses, the Cavaliers will also be without key players: Darius Garland is out with a toe injury and Max Strus is unavailable due to a foot injury. This matchup is critical, as both teams are expected to contend for the Eastern Conference title this season.
Fans eagerly await this showdown amidst the injury reports, which could significantly alter the dynamics of the game. What’s next? Keep an eye on the Knicks’ updates as they finalize their roster for a crucial start to the season. The intensity builds as the clock ticks down to tip-off!
