Northview Dominates San Dimas with 42-7 Victory in League Clash

SAN DIMAS—In a decisive display of skill and teamwork, the Northview football team secured a commanding 42-7 victory over San Dimas on October 17, 2025, solidifying its position as a frontrunner in the Valle Vista League. The win showcased Northview’s explosive offense, particularly through standout player Isaiah Lucero, who delivered a remarkable performance with five receptions for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
The game unfolded at San Dimas High School, where Northview set the tone early. The Vikings methodically advanced down the field on their opening possession, taking over seven minutes to complete the drive. It culminated in a 3-yard touchdown rush by Dominic Munoz, establishing a quick 7-0 lead for Northview.
Disaster soon struck for San Dimas as they fumbled on their first play from scrimmage, allowing Northview to capitalize. Just two plays later, Aaron Guillen scored an 8-yard touchdown, extending the Vikings’ lead to 14-0. Lucero’s first touchdown catch came soon after, a 37-yard connection from quarterback Robert Lucero, further widening the gap.
San Dimas faced difficulties throughout the match, losing momentum with multiple turnovers, including a second fumble on their next drive. Northview’s defense, led by Lucero, proved formidable, as he intercepted a pass to halt San Dimas’ attempts to regain control.
The Vikings continued to dominate, scoring two additional touchdowns in the third quarter, bringing the score to 42-0. The Saints finally found the end zone with a 43-yard touchdown run by running back Jacob Gallegos, but it was too little, too late.
Northview’s performance marked the lowest point total allowed this season, nearly achieving a shutout. Coach Marcel Perez emphasized the team’s focus on improvement, stating, “Like we keep telling them, it’s one game at a time. We gotta focus on the next game.”
With the victory, Northview is well-positioned to secure its second consecutive Valle Vista League title, inching closer to an automatic playoff berth. The Vikings will next host Alta Loma, while San Dimas seeks to keep its playoff hopes alive against Baldwin Park.
This win not only highlights Northview’s offensive prowess but also reflects a strong defensive strategy that has become a hallmark of their season. As the league competition intensifies, the Vikings’ ability to stay focused and maintain their momentum will be crucial in the coming weeks.
