Tragic Collision Claims Life of El Cajon Driver in Box Truck Crash

A serious traffic accident in El Cajon, California, resulted in the death of a 19-year-old driver on Thursday afternoon. The driver, identified as Jesse Hernandez, was involved in a collision with a box truck at approximately 15:25 near the intersection of Broadway and Oro Street.

Upon arrival, officers from the El Cajon Police Department found the box truck overturned on its side, with witnesses reporting that it had briefly caught fire. The scene was chaotic, as emergency responders worked to extract Hernandez from the wreckage of his black BMW. Despite being rushed to a local hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
