Stefon Diggs Files Lawsuit Against Influencer Over Defamation Claims
UPDATE: NFL star Stefon Diggs has filed a defamation lawsuit against social media influencer Christopher Blake Griffith following explosive allegations of drugging and sexual assault. The lawsuit, obtained by TMZ Sports, was officially filed on October 1, 2023, and it accuses Griffith of fabricating a shocking narrative that threatens Diggs’ reputation.
According to the lawsuit, the allegations stem from an incident at Diggs’ home in Rockville, Maryland, after a charity basketball game in May 2023. Diggs asserts that he, Griffith, and other influencers enjoyed a night out at a club in Washington, D.C., before returning to his residence. Diggs claims that he went to his bedroom while his assistant asked Griffith to leave, describing the evening as completely ordinary.
However, more than two years later, during the summer of 2025, Griffith allegedly began disseminating false accusations about that night. He claimed that Diggs “drugged and sexually assaulted” him and even suggested a conspiracy to have him killed to hide Diggs’ “gay/bisexual secrets.”
Diggs is taking a strong stand against these claims, stating they are “pure fiction.” The Patriots star contends that Griffith not only spread these damaging allegations to his extensive social media following but also tagged the NFL, the New England Patriots, and his sponsor, Uggs, in his posts.
In a bold move to protect his name, Diggs is pursuing damages and attorneys’ fees, although the exact amount sought remains unspecified. His legal team argues that Griffith’s actions were driven by a desire for online notoriety, thereby inflicting serious harm on Diggs’ public image.
Griffith’s attorney, Jake Lebowitz, responded to the lawsuit, stating, “Mr. Griffith is looking forward to showing the world in Court that regardless of the fairy tale fabricated by Mr. Diggs’ high-priced New York lawyers, he is the victim of Mr. Diggs’ unwanted sexual advances and his brother’s violent attacks.”
As this high-profile case unfolds, all eyes are on the courtroom, where the truth behind these sensational allegations will be revealed. Diggs’ decision to take legal action underscores the urgency of addressing false claims in the digital age, particularly when they hold the potential to devastate personal and professional lives.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as it continues to impact both Diggs and Griffith in the public eye.
