MLB Announces Spring Training Schedule Set to Start Feb. 20
UPDATE: Major League Baseball (MLB) has just announced that the highly anticipated spring training schedule will kick off on February 20 with seven games across the country. Fans are gearing up for an exciting season as teams like the Yankees face off against the Orioles in Sarasota, Florida, and the Cubs take on the White Sox in Mesa, Arizona.
This year’s spring training features a packed lineup, including matchups like the Diamondbacks versus the Rockies and the Padres against the Mariners. The first day will also showcase the Red Sox competing against Northeastern University and the Twins facing off against the University of Minnesota.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. The defending World Series champion Dodgers will commence their spring training on February 21 against the Angels in Tempe, Arizona. As teams prepare for the March 25 season opener in San Francisco, exhibition games will be held from March 22-24 at various regular-season ballparks.
On March 3 and 4, MLB teams will also engage in games against national teams gearing up for the World Baseball Classic, with the United States playing against the Giants and Rockies in Scottsdale.
In a notable twist, the Athletics and Angels will head to Las Vegas on March 7 and 8 for spring training games, as the A’s prepare for their move to the city by the 2028 season.
