He was inactive for the Week 6 game against the Arizona Cardinals, and returned to play just five snaps in the 38-24 win against the Los Angeles Chargers on October 19.

Mitchell, a 2024 second-round draft pick, is currently on a rookie contract that extends through the 2027 season. His passion for the game is evident, as he remarked, “This is all I ever done, dog. This is pretty much the only thing I’ve ever really found joy in besides just being around my family.” He emphasized the importance of not taking this opportunity for granted, as he is determined to make it work.

Following that game, he took the initiative to address his teammates during a locker room meeting, acknowledging the need for accountability. “We were going to meet about it anyway, and that’s pretty much the only way to get through it,” Mitchell shared. “First, you have to acknowledge what you did wrong and take accountability. I know people want to ask me like, ‘Do I still look back at that? Do I still think it’s my fault?’ Hell yeah, I do. There ain’t a moment when I don’t think about it.”

This week, the Colts are set to host the Tennessee Titans, who currently hold a 1-6 record. As of Friday afternoon, ESPN BET has listed Indianapolis as a 14.5-point favorite, hinting at a potential blowout.
