Half Past 8 Launches Innovative Wellness Patches for Busy Lifestyles
A new wellness brand, Half Past 8, has officially launched its line of wearable patches aimed at health-conscious consumers seeking convenient solutions. Available for direct purchase and at Printemps in New York City, the brand offers three distinct patches designed to address common everyday challenges: Deep Sleep, Energy & Focus, and Stress & Mood, each priced at $52.
The founders, Meto and Kyle Pierce, developed the concept after experiencing the demands of new parenthood. “Everything started when our son was born last year,” Meto explained. “Life all of a sudden changed: less sleep, low energy, a lot of stress.” The duo sought a simpler way to incorporate wellness into their hectic lives, moving away from traditional pills and powders that proved difficult to manage.
Utilizing transdermal technology, these patches release active ingredients directly into the bloodstream over an eight-hour period, bypassing the digestive tract. This method offers a promising alternative to traditional forms of supplementation, which often lose potency during digestion. “These patches use a set of ingredients that are specifically formulated to absorb through your skin,” Kyle noted, highlighting their advantage over conventional oral supplements.
The Deep Sleep patch, for instance, contains 5mg of melatonin along with other natural ingredients to enhance sleep quality. Kyle emphasized the effectiveness of this delivery method, stating, “When you’re digesting a gummy or taking a pill, you’re mostly absorbing nothing.” The patches aim to provide a more reliable dosage, helping users avoid the need for excessive consumption to achieve desired effects.
The initial testing phase involved clients from Meto’s fitness studio, Hvy Industry, who provided feedback on the patches over time. Meto mentioned that many of his clients, including industry professionals who frequently travel, have expressed interest in the products. “They’re calling me, ‘Hey, can you get me more sleeping patches or energy patches?’” he said, indicating strong demand.
While word-of-mouth has significantly boosted their visibility, Half Past 8 also plans to utilize digital platforms to educate potential customers about the benefits of their patches. Kyle pointed to trends emerging from South Korea, predicting that patches will grow in popularity within the beauty and wellness sectors over the next five years. “We hope to be the leaders of that in the U.S. market,” he stated.
Looking ahead, the founders hinted at expanding their product line, with a weight management patch expected to launch in early 2026. They are also exploring additional formats that provide immediate benefits, such as pocket-sized wellness solutions. “Our entire product development thesis is around wellness that moves with you and fits into your life,” Kyle explained.
As Half Past 8 continues to innovate within the wellness space, its founders remain committed to offering effective, aesthetically pleasing solutions that cater to the evolving needs of consumers. With the wellness patch market poised for growth, the brand aims to establish itself as a frontrunner by providing quality products that seamlessly integrate into the lives of its users.
