The finale of Gen V Season 2 features a heartfelt tribute to the late actor Chance Perdomo, who portrayed Andre Anderson in the series. Actor Lizze Broadway, who plays Emma Meyer, revealed that she wore one of Perdomo’s sweatshirts during the final scene to honor his memory. This touching gesture follows Perdomo’s tragic death in March 2024 due to a motorcycle accident.

In an interview with Collider, Broadway expressed her intention behind wearing the clothing item. “I’m still curious if you caught the wardrobe thing in the last scene of episode 8,” she stated. “It’s one of my favorite aspects of what I did. It’s actually Andre’s sweatshirt. I wanted to take that, like he’s with us for the rest of the season.” Broadway emphasized how significant this was for her, as she had based her entire performance on both Perdomo and his character, Andre.

The tribute carries special meaning, especially as the first episode of the season begins with a scene of Perdomo wearing the same sweatshirt. “I didn’t know that was gonna happen at the time,” Broadway added. “My whole performance is based in Chance and Andre that I was like, I need to carry him throughout, and that’s how I kind of wrapped it up.”

Gen V centers around the students at Godolkin University, where they learn to harness the superpowers bestowed upon them by the enigmatic Compound V. As the narrative unfolds, the students become entangled in a conspiracy that reveals the darker side of their institution. Emma, portrayed by Broadway, possesses the unique ability to change her size, making her one of the main characters in the series.

The second season of Gen V is now available for streaming in its entirety on Amazon Prime Video. For those looking for more content, there are also recommendations for the 25 best shows currently available on the platform.
