Barron Trump Calls UK Police, Aids Friend During Assault
Barron Trump intervened in a potentially life-threatening situation by contacting British police after witnessing a friend being assaulted during a FaceTime call. The incident occurred on January 18, 2025, when Trump placed a call to emergency services at 2:23 a.m. to report the alarming situation. According to a report from the Metro, Trump informed the authorities that he had seen his friend being beaten by her ex-boyfriend.
In the audio of the emergency call played at Snaresbrook Crown Court, Trump expressed urgency, stating, “I just got a call from a girl I know. She’s getting beaten up.” He provided police with his friend’s address, emphasizing the immediacy of the situation by saying, “It’s really an emergency, please. I got a call from her with a guy beating her up.”
Details of the Incident
Body camera footage presented in court showed police asking the victim, a young woman, if her ex-boyfriend, Matvei Rumianstev, was streaming the incident during the alleged attack. While officers did not disclose the identity of the person who contacted them from the U.S., the woman revealed her friendship with Barron Trump. She later recounted to the jury how the call from Trump was pivotal in her situation.
Trump described the moment he received the call, noting, “‘She called me. I picked up the phone expecting a nice hello or something. I just saw a ceiling and could hear screaming. I could see a guy’s head on the phone, and then the camera turns to her crying and getting hit.’”
During the trial, the victim testified that Trump’s actions were crucial in saving her life. She stated, “He helped save my life. That call was like a sign from God at that moment.” She explained that she had been “on my knees begging” when she received Trump’s call, which provided her with the opportunity to seek help.
Allegations Against Rumianstev
The victim shared her harrowing experience of being in a relationship with Rumianstev for approximately six months. She alleged that he assaulted and strangled her during disputes and claimed he sexually abused her on multiple occasions, including instances of rape in November 2024 and just hours before police arrived on January 18.
According to the Metro, Rumianstev exhibited jealousy over the woman’s friendship with Barron Trump, contributing to the violent incidents.
Barron Trump, now a sophomore at New York University, transferred to the Washington, D.C. campus after completing his freshman year. He is the youngest son of former President Donald Trump and Melania Trump.
The Daily Caller has reached out to U.K. police for comments regarding the incident but did not receive an immediate response. As the case unfolds, the implications of Trump’s timely intervention continue to resonate, highlighting the importance of swift action in emergency situations.
