Victor Oladipo Joins Bucks’ G League Team Amid Comeback Bid
BREAKING: Two-time NBA All-Star Victor Oladipo has officially joined the Wisconsin Herd, the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks. The Herd made this announcement on October 15, 2023, marking a significant step in Oladipo’s comeback after a tumultuous season.
This move comes after Oladipo, who has not played in the NBA since the 2022-23 season, was acquired from the Santa Cruz Warriors. The Warriors, who held waiver priority, claimed Oladipo and subsequently traded his rights to the Bucks in exchange for a 2027 first-round pick in the G League draft.
Oladipo, 33, suffered a severe injury when he tore his left patellar tendon while playing for the Miami Heat against the Bucks in the first round of the 2023 playoffs. Despite this setback, he demonstrated determination by participating in preseason games last month with the Guangzhou Loong-Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association.
During his 10-year NBA career, Oladipo has averaged 16.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.9 assists on 44% shooting. He earned All-Star honors in 2018 and 2019, and his return to professional play is generating excitement among fans and analysts alike.
The acquisition of Oladipo signals the Bucks’ commitment to strengthening their roster and providing him with a platform to regain his form. As he joins the Herd, all eyes will be on his performance and potential return to the NBA.
With Oladipo’s history of resilience and talent, this development not only impacts the G League landscape but also creates a buzz around the Bucks as they look to bolster their team ahead of the upcoming season. Fans and sports analysts will be watching closely as he embarks on this new chapter in his basketball journey.
Stay tuned for further updates on Oladipo’s progress and the implications for the Milwaukee Bucks as they navigate the season.
