Urgent Arrest in San Jose After Food Truck Rammed by Pickup
UPDATE: A 27-year-old man was arrested on October 30 in San Jose after allegedly ramming his pickup truck into a food truck occupied by employees, according to the San Jose Police Department. This shocking incident unfolded shortly before 11:30 p.m. on August 18, when police responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon on Monterey Road.
Authorities report that the suspect repeatedly drove his vehicle into the parked food vendor, endangering the lives of three employees inside. Fortunately, all employees managed to escape without injuries. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, leading to an immediate investigation.
Video footage of the incident reveals the white pickup truck reversing through an empty seating area before crashing into the green and red food truck. The damages are estimated at a staggering $10,000, raising serious concerns about safety in the area.
Police have charged the suspect with assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism. He has since been booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
This alarming event has drawn attention from the community, with many residents expressing outrage over the reckless behavior. Local business owners are urging for increased safety measures for food vendors, especially during late-night hours.
