The event, which began at 6:00 PM, featured a dazzling array of lights and festive decorations, marking the start of the holiday season in the city. With the Christmas countdown underway, the tree lighting was a much-anticipated celebration for families and friends, eager to embrace the festive atmosphere.
Mayor Jane Castor attended the event and expressed her excitement, stating, “This is a time for community, joy, and togetherness. The Riverwalk tree lighting symbolizes the spirit of Tampa during the holiday season.”
Attendees enjoyed live music, food vendors, and holiday-themed activities, creating a vibrant environment. The towering tree, adorned with over 10,000 lights and decorations, stands as a beacon of holiday cheer along the scenic Riverwalk.
