BREAKING: Celebrity chef Guy Fieri has been rushed to the hospital following a serious injury sustained while filming the latest episode of Flavortown Food Fight. The incident occurred when Fieri “slipped down a set of steps,” resulting in a devastating quad muscle tear that left him wheelchair-bound.

Speaking to Fox News Digital just hours ago, Fieri detailed how the accident unfolded. “One foot went forward and the other foot got caught on the threshold,” he explained. The fall was severe enough that the doctor attending to him stated he hadn’t encountered a similar injury in his two decades of practice. “It exploded in the center of the whole quad muscle,” Fieri described, emphasizing the unusual nature of the injury.

The injury took place while 125 people were on set, all prepared for a busy filming schedule. Fieri shared, “We figured out how to pivot through it and to have some creative filming techniques,” reflecting his resilience despite the circumstances.

After being rushed to the hospital, Fieri underwent immediate surgery to repair the damage and prevent his muscles from receding. Now, he is adapting to life on crutches and in a wheelchair as he recovers. “I have to stay off it,” he confirmed, revealing he cannot walk on it for a minimum of eight weeks.

Fans of the culinary star will have to wait as he plans to begin rehabilitation as soon as possible. The Emmy winner did not disclose when the injury occurred but candidly remarked, “It sucked” and called it a “damper” on his plans.

As Thanksgiving approaches, Fieri’s eldest son, Hunter, will take over the cooking duties, humorously texting his father that it’s his “time to shine.” Fieri expressed confidence in his sons, stating that both Hunter and Ryder, along with nephew Jules, “know how to cook.” He quipped, “It’s gonna be me quarterbacking from the wheelchair and telling them what to do,” as the family prepares to serve about 40 people.

Fieri, who shares sons Hunter, 29, and Ryder, 19, with wife Lori Fieri, remains optimistic about his recovery. He has also made it clear that he intends for his sons to earn their inheritances through education, stating they must “get two degrees.”

This developing story highlights the resilience of the beloved chef as he navigates recovery while maintaining his family traditions. Fans and followers are encouraged to share their support for Guy Fieri during this challenging time. Stay tuned for further updates on his recovery and upcoming projects.
