Glam Influencer Dies in Fatal Motorcycle Crash Just Hours After Warning
UPDATE: A tragic accident has claimed the life of popular motorbike influencer Karen Sofía Quiroz Ramírez, known as Bikegirl, after she fell beneath the wheels of a lorry in Colombia today. The 25-year-old suffered fatal injuries when her motorcycle crashed shortly after she lost her glasses, a situation she ominously predicted on social media just hours before the incident.
The horrifying crash occurred while Bikegirl was attempting to weave between two vehicles on a busy highway. Reports indicate she lost control of her Suzuki Gixxer and collided with a Chevrolet Spark before being thrown under the lorry. Paramedics arrived swiftly but were unable to revive her; she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just hours earlier, Quiroz had taken to Instagram and TikTok, expressing concern about riding without her glasses. In a chilling post, she wrote, “I hope I don’t crash because I’m driving without my glasses.” Her followers are now reflecting on this eerie premonition as news of her death spreads.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Transport official Jahir Andres stated, “The most likely hypothesis for the accident is that the motorcyclist was travelling between two vehicles. However, this situation will be subject to an investigation.” The local Prosecutor’s Office is set to conduct interviews with witnesses and analyze CCTV footage from the area.
Quiroz was not only a skilled motorcyclist but also a passionate advocate for tattoos and had amassed a following of over 45,000 on social media. Her fans have expressed shock and grief over her sudden passing, with many sharing tributes to her adventurous spirit.
This incident follows another tragic event involving motorcyclists. Earlier this week, another rider, Lurrique Ferrari, suffered fatal injuries after crashing during a stunt show in Brazil. Dramatic footage captured the moment Ferrari collided while performing in front of a crowd at the Hot Wheels Epic Show.
Additionally, last week, Christian Quezada, a 26-year-old stuntman, died during a performance in Naples, Italy, after losing his balance in a dangerous motorcycle trick. Such incidents highlight the inherent risks associated with motorcycling and stunt performances, igniting discussions about safety in the sport.
As investigations into Quiroz’s death continue, fans and fellow motorbike enthusiasts are mourning a beloved figure in the community. The tragic loss serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of the road and the importance of safety precautions while riding.
