Federal Agents Spotted in Halloween Masks at DHS Site in L.A.
UPDATE: Federal agents have been spotted wearing Halloween masks while operating around the Port of Los Angeles, raising serious concerns among community members. Reports emerged just hours ago, detailing incidents that occurred on October 24, 2025, as a local volunteer group documented the alarming behavior near a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) staging area.
Volunteers from the Harbor Area Peace Patrol captured footage of agents leaving Terminal Island, a site known for housing DHS and ICE vehicles. A community member, identified only as Phoebe, recounted the chilling experience, stating, “They slowed down, rolled down the window, and stared directly into my camera wearing a Chucky mask.” Just minutes later, another agent drove by wearing a Momo mask. “It just reaffirmed that they really have fun doing this type of work, terrorizing our communities,” she added.
The shocking visuals were recorded as agents exited a restricted property near a public memorial. Phoebe and her team regularly monitor DHS operations, cross-referencing vehicles seen entering and exiting the Terminal Island lot with those involved in immigration enforcement actions across Los Angeles County.
While the masks were worn as agents left the facility, it remains unclear if they played any role in subsequent enforcement activities. In a significant twist, the Department of Homeland Security has not responded to requests for comment from KTLA, raising questions about the appropriateness of their agents’ actions.
This incident was first reported by local outlet L.A. TACO, which received a response from Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, who remarked sarcastically, “Happy Halloween!” The report noted that one agent in a Chucky mask was seen around 7:23 a.m., followed by another in a Momo mask shortly after.
Phoebe also indicated that the same white van has been linked to multiple immigration raids throughout Los Angeles, including one in Van Nuys on the same day. Previously, on October 20, an agent was documented wearing a “Mr. Potato Head”-style disguise, complete with glasses and a fake nose.
The use of masks by federal officers has sparked outrage within the community, with Phoebe expressing that this felt like a deliberate taunt. “They went out of their way to make sure we saw them,” she said.
As this story develops, KTLA is actively pursuing further comments from both DHS and ICE. The community’s reaction is palpable, and the implications of federal agents behaving in such a manner are profound, raising concerns about the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
Stay tuned for updates on this urgent situation as authorities respond and the community seeks accountability.
