Duren’s 31 Points Propel Pistons to 10th Straight Win Over Pacers
UPDATE: Jalen Duren exploded back onto the court with 31 points, leading the Detroit Pistons to a commanding 127-112 victory over the struggling Indiana Pacers on November 17, 2025. This win marks the Pistons’ 10th consecutive victory, a remarkable feat for a team that has been playing without several key players.
Despite being short-handed, the Pistons showcased their depth, with Daniss Jenkins contributing an impressive 26 points. The team’s current winning streak is the longest since 2007-08, demonstrating their resilience in the face of adversity. Star players Cade Cunningham (hip), Tobias Harris (ankle), and Ausar Thompson (ankle) sat out once again, but Detroit’s tenacity shone through.
The Indiana Pacers, now at a dismal 1-13, are experiencing an unsettling eight-game losing streak, their worst since the 2014-15 season. The Pacers’ struggles were evident as they fell to 0-8 on the road, while the Pistons have established themselves as the first team in the Eastern Conference to reach 12 wins this season.
The game took a decisive turn in the first quarter when Duncan Robinson sank a three-pointer, giving the Pistons a lead they would not relinquish. Despite a valiant effort from Pascal Siakam, who led the Pacers with 29 points, Indiana could not keep pace with the Pistons’ offensive onslaught. The Pistons’ defense also held firm, as they closed the first half with a strong 16-7 run, leading 62-46 at halftime.
Although the Pacers fought back in the second half, outscoring the Pistons 56-55, it was not enough to alter the outcome. Key performances from Javonte Green, who added 20 points off the bench, and solid contributions from other players, including Robinson with 13 points and Isaiah Stewart with 10 points, ensured Detroit’s success.
The Pistons now look forward to their next matchup against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday, while the Pacers will face the Atlanta Hawks Tuesday. As both teams prepare for their upcoming games, the Pistons aim to extend their historic winning streak, while the Pacers desperately seek to break their slump.
