URGENT UPDATE: Authorities in Madison, Wisconsin, are actively searching for Morgan Geyser, a woman infamous for a brutal 2014 stabbing linked to the online horror figure Slender Man. Geyser, now 23 years old, has been reported missing after cutting off her electronic monitoring device and leaving a group home. The alert was issued on July 15, 2023, after she was last seen around 8 p.m. with an adult acquaintance.

The Madison Police Department is urging anyone who spots Geyser to immediately call 911. The electronic monitoring bracelet was part of her conditional release from the Winnebago Mental Health Institute, where she had been placed following her conviction for attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

In 2014, Geyser and her then-friend Anissa Weier, both just 12 years old, lured their classmate Payton Leutner to a park in suburban Milwaukee. There, Geyser stabbed Leutner more than a dozen times in a horrifying act they claimed was meant to appease Slender Man. Leutner narrowly survived the attack, showcasing the brutal nature of the crime that shocked the nation.

Following her guilty plea in a deal to avoid prison time, Geyser was sent to the psychiatric facility in 2018. Weier also faced charges, pleading guilty to attempted second-degree intentional homicide, and was granted release in 2021.

This recent development raises alarming questions about Geyser’s whereabouts and the implications of her release. The authorities’ quick response underscores the urgency of the situation, as they seek to ensure public safety.

Anyone with information regarding Geyser’s location is encouraged to come forward as the search intensifies. The community remains on high alert, reflecting the deep scars left by her past actions.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story as authorities work to locate Geyser and ensure the safety of the public.
