URGENT UPDATE: Robert “Bob” Isgro, a beloved figure in his community, has passed away at the age of 80 on August 15, 2025, surrounded by family at Suncoast Hospice in Hudson, Florida. His death marks a profound loss for many who knew him, and details of his memorial service are now confirmed.

Isgro, who served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Gerald H. B. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York, on November 28, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. This ceremony will honor his service to the nation and his contributions to the community.

Bob is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carole A. (Bonifacio) Isgro, and a close-knit family, including his sister-in-law, Debbie Balot, and several nieces and nephews. He was a proud uncle and great-uncle to many, including his great-nephews and nieces, Dominic, Nicholas, Angelo, Gino, Julie, and Michele. His close friend, Martin Sabatino, and numerous cousins also mourn his passing.

Born on February 22, 1945, in California, Bob spent most of his life in Schenectady, New York. He was a graduate of Linton High School and attended Hudson Valley and Russell Sage College. After returning from military service, he had a successful career at the Watervliet Arsenal, Norton Company, AT&T, and the Town of Niskayuna.

The Isgro family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association to support research and care for those affected by the disease. This call to action reflects Bob’s enduring spirit and commitment to helping others.

Throughout his life, Bob was known for his love of music, enjoying everything from family jam sessions to performances with the Barbershop Harmony Society. He was an avid skier, bowler, and golfer, and he cherished friendships in the Heritage Pines community. His passion for cars was evident in his pride for his latest vehicle, an Audi TT, which he loved to showcase.

Bob’s passing not only leaves a void in the hearts of his family but also in the lives of friends and community members who will remember him fondly. As tributes pour in, many are encouraged to share their memories and condolences online at glenvillefuneralhome.com.
