Shocking Elimination Marks Prince Night on Dancing with the Stars
The semi-finals of *Dancing with the Stars* culminated in a surprising elimination during the Prince Night episode, a tribute to the legendary musician. Whitney Leavitt and her professional partner, Mark Ballas, were sent home despite delivering impressive performances, leaving fans in disbelief. As a result, five couples will now advance to the finale scheduled for November 25, 2025.
Leavitt, known for her role in *The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives*, was considered a strong contender for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Each couple performed two routines set to the music of Prince, with Leavitt and Ballas choosing to repeat their cha cha routine to “1999” and showcasing a Viennese waltz to “Slow Love.” Both performances earned near-perfect scores of 29 out of 30 from the judges, highlighting the couple’s talent and dedication.
Despite their impressive scores, the competition remained fierce, and Leavitt and Ballas found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard. Their elimination marked one of the most unexpected moments of the season, leaving fans to express their disappointment on social media.
In her farewell, Leavitt reflected on her experience, stating, “I already feel like a winner. This show has meant the absolute world to me… I will forever be grateful for the friendships I made. Thank you so so much.” Ballas echoed her sentiments, sharing his appreciation for the journey: “I had the best time. I love this show.”
With Leavitt and Ballas’ exit, the competition intensifies as the remaining couples gear up for the finals. The finalists include Elaine Hendrix and Alan Bersten, Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy, Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa, Robert Irwin and Witney Carson, and Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach. Each couple will now vie for the coveted trophy in the upcoming finale.
The unexpected turn of events during Prince Night serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of reality television, where performances can shine, yet voting dynamics ultimately decide the outcome. Fans will be eagerly awaiting the final showdown as the remaining contestants prepare to dance for victory.
