Josh Allen Struggles with Turnovers in Bills’ Loss to Dolphins
The Buffalo Bills suffered a disappointing defeat to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10, with quarterback Josh Allen facing significant challenges throughout the game. Despite a solid overall performance, Allen’s turnovers proved pivotal in the Bills’ 28-24 loss, raising concerns about his form in the current season.
In the matchup held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on November 5, 2025, Allen completed 28 of 40 passes for 306 yards, throwing two touchdown passes while also adding 31 rushing yards. However, the game was marred by critical mistakes. Allen recorded an interception on the Bills’ opening drive of the second half and lost a fumble late in the fourth quarter, just as the team began to build momentum.
These turnovers are particularly noteworthy, as they are a rarity for Allen against the Dolphins. In 17 career games against Miami, including playoffs, he has only committed multiple turnovers on four occasions. Following this latest game, his record against the Dolphins now stands at 2-2.
The 2025 season has been a mixed bag for Allen, who has now accumulated seven turnovers over nine games. This contrasts sharply with his performance in 2024, when he claimed the league MVP title with only eight turnovers across 17 starts. The scrutiny surrounding his play will only intensify if he cannot curb these mistakes.
In terms of offensive support, Allen has shown promise with emerging players such as Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir. However, Kincaid’s absence for a significant portion of the second half due to injury limited the Bills’ offensive options. Meanwhile, Keon Coleman managed to find the end zone but had an inconsistent performance overall.
The Buffalo passing attack, as a whole, has struggled to deliver the type of performance expected from a team with playoff aspirations. If Allen continues to turn the ball over at this rate, the Bills may find it increasingly difficult to compete in the tightly contested AFC East.
As the season progresses, the focus will be on how Allen adjusts his game and whether he can regain the form that earned him accolades in the past. The Bills will need to address these issues quickly to remain viable contenders in the playoff race.
