Coros Apex 4 Smartwatch Launches with Unmatched Battery Life

BREAKING: The highly anticipated Coros Apex 4 smartwatch has officially launched, promising long battery life that rivals high-end models like Garmin, but at a fraction of the price. Available now in 42mm and 46mm sizes, priced at $429 and $479 respectively, this new device is set to redefine outdoor sports tracking.
Just announced, the Apex 4 features a remarkable GPS battery life of up to 65 hours, depending on accuracy settings, ensuring that adventurers can explore without frequent recharging. Initial tests show that users can expect over three weeks of typical smartwatch use before needing a charge. This is particularly significant for athletes and outdoor enthusiasts who rely on their devices for extended activities.
The smartwatch boasts improved mapping capabilities, including faster map zoom, off-course alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation, making it a strong contender for those participating in trail running, alpine skiing, and other outdoor sports. I recently tested the 46mm model while salmon fishing in the Puget Sound, and the improved features did not disappoint.
The Apex 4 is designed for rugged use, featuring a robust 5 ATM water resistance rating and a lightweight design, weighing only 64 grams with the silicone band. Notably, it includes a new Action button for quick access to essential functions during activities, alongside a speaker and microphone for hands-free calling and voice notes.
Additionally, the Adventure Journal functionality allows users to document their journeys with voice pins and photos, creating a multimedia portfolio of their outdoor experiences. This feature is a game changer for those who enjoy sharing their adventures with friends and family.
While the Apex 4 excels in battery life and outdoor functionality, it does have limitations, such as lower resolution display and lack of third-party app support. Nevertheless, it stands out in the market, especially for its price point and durability.
Coros continues to innovate, and the Apex 4 is a testament to their commitment to providing quality sports watches that cater to the needs of active individuals. As winter approaches, I’m eager to test its skiing features on the slopes of Mount Rainier, including downloading topographic maps and tracking downhill laps.
For those considering a smartwatch that combines performance with affordability, the Coros Apex 4 is a compelling option under $500. With its impressive features and long battery life, it’s positioned to attract both seasoned athletes and casual users alike.
Stay tuned for more updates and in-depth reviews as users continue to share their experiences with this exciting new smartwatch.
