Sun Valley Music Festival Reveals Star-Studded Lineup for 2026
The Sun Valley Music Festival has unveiled its lineup for the 2026 Summer Season, marking the festival’s 42nd year. Scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 20, 2026, the festival will feature a range of vocal performances that promise to attract music lovers from around the globe.
One of the highlights of the festival will be a performance of Brahms’s “A German Requiem”, conducted by Alasdair Neale. This significant piece will showcase the talents of renowned vocalists Christina Pier and Benjamin Appl. The performance is set for August 9, 2026, and is expected to draw considerable attention for its dramatic and emotive composition.
On the following day, August 10, 2026, Pier and Appl will join pianist Peter Henderson for a recital featuring Robert Schumann’s “Dichterliebe.” This classic song cycle is celebrated for its poetic depth and lyrical beauty, promising to be an engaging experience for attendees.
The festival will also present a lively concert titled “Come Swing With Me!” on August 16, 2026, featuring music from the American Songbook. Conducted by Alasdair Neale alongside Jeff Tyzik, this performance will offer a vibrant exploration of American music, appealing to a diverse audience.
