Knicks Dominate Raptors 116-94, Extend Home Win Streak to 10
BREAKING: The New York Knicks just delivered an emphatic 116-94 victory over the Toronto Raptors at Madison Square Garden, solidifying their dominance at home with a record of 10-1. This win marks their tenth home victory this season, positioning them as the toughest team to beat in the Eastern Conference.
The Knicks took charge early, erupting for 41 points in the first quarter, led by Miles McBride, who scored 12 points while hitting 4-of-5 three-pointers. With this win, the Knicks continue to build momentum, having recently defeated the Milwaukee Bucks at home and now facing a Toronto team that recently ended a nine-game winning streak.
“Our fans make playing at home so fun. The energy they give us is priceless,” said Knicks forward Karl-Anthony Towns, who contributed 22 points and 8 rebounds. “We want to give the fans the best version of ourselves every night.”
The Knicks are on pace to challenge their franchise record of 27-4 at home, set during the 1992-93 season. The only team boasting a better home record is the defending champion Oklahoma City, currently at 10-0.
Despite their success, the Knicks aim to improve their road performance, currently standing at 3-5 away from Madison Square Garden. Their next test comes against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday, a historically tough venue for the Knicks.
Player Josh Hart also shone brightly in the victory, scoring 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting and recording 12 rebounds along with 7 assists. “I feel like protecting home court in the NBA is really important,” Hart remarked. “MSG is a place where guys want to come in and really get off, so we have to be even more locked in at home.”
The Knicks’ only loss at home this season was to the Orlando Magic on November 12, a game marred by an injury to Jalen Brunson. However, since Brunson’s return, the Knicks have surged with a record of 6-1, with Brunson scoring over 30 points in three games.
As the Knicks continue to thrive at home, they are eager to replicate this success on the road. The team’s determination to fortify their home court advantage resonates with fans, making Madison Square Garden a fortress of energy and excitement.
Expectations are high as the Knicks prepare for their upcoming matchup, with fans hopeful that this winning momentum will carry through the season. Stay tuned for more updates as the Knicks aim to make their mark in the NBA this season.
